In ease, the figure exists within a quiet psychological state — a moment where thought slows and awareness begins to loosen. Rather than depicting an action or narrative, the work focuses on a subtle inner condition: the gentle suspension between clarity and drift.
The silhouette of cigarette smoke forms the word “ease”, visually interrupting and partially cropping the figure. This layer functions both as atmosphere and obstruction, softening the boundary between the subject and the surrounding space.
Through this interference, the image suggests a moment of release — a state where the mind momentarily lets go of control and settles into a calm ambiguity.
