ときどきはそれらから少し距離を置きたくなる。外から流れてくる声や情報をいったん手放し、自分の感覚に耳を澄ませる時間。この作品で描いているのは、そんな静かな意志の瞬間です。聞かないこと、流されないことも、ひとつの選択だと思います。画面を横切るうねるようなかたちは “mute” の文字を形づくり、それは外から押し寄せる声のようにも見え同時にそれらを静かに遮るフィルターのようでもあります。画面の中で重なり合うことで、外のノイズと内側の静けさがせめぎ合うような空間が生まれます。そこに現れるのは、周囲の声から少し距離を取り、自分の感覚を取り戻す瞬間。

In a time when voices, opinions, and information constantly flow toward us, it is easy to lose sight of our own thoughts.
Without noticing, we begin to absorb the emotions and perspectives of others.

This work reflects a quiet moment of resistance.
A pause in which outside noise is set aside, allowing one to listen again to their own inner sense.
Not listening, not being carried away — these too can be deliberate choices.

The undulating shapes across the image form the word “mute,” partially veiling the figure beneath them.
They can be seen as the waves of voices and information that surround us, but at the same time they act like a filter that softens and blocks those signals.
